This is a Meyer alto saxophone rubber mouthpiece, the Gby Meyer model, designed with M.C. Gregory in mind, which was used by Paul Desmond, known for "Take Five." The opening is a Meyer's most popular size, 5. It has a darker sound than a normal Meyer, and its attractive feature is a Jersey-like tone that includes breath noise (noise). Recommended for those who want to easily enjoy a West Coast sound atmosphere. The box has a "selected item" sticker, and the mouthpiece has "1516" engraved on it, but it is unknown whether it is a selected item. The table, tip rail, etc. are in good condition.
