Thank you for viewing. This is a Matanpushi, a headband made of tree bark. It's likely willow bark. Since it's a natural material, it may feel rough against the skin. It's less noticeable when worn over hair. This was made by me, an amateur, with guidance from an Ainu person at a hands-on workshop. The size is for a woman's head. The inner diameter is approximately 59cm (it's uneven, and the measurement varies, so please consider it a guideline of 58-59.5cm). It's said that wearing it regularly will moisturize the bark with oil, resulting in a beautiful texture (I've seen examples of this). I wore it at first, but gradually stopped, and it's now in a dry state. It was made over a year ago. I'm not sure if it can still be brought to that state. Since it was made by an amateur, there may be some imperfections. It was washed in the initial process, so there shouldn't be any concerns about insects, but please understand that it's a natural material. I liked it, but I don't have many opportunities to wear it in daily life, so I thought it would be a waste to just leave it. If anyone would like to use it, I would appreciate it.
