◉ Substantial price reduction! ◉ New, wooden carved box, antique, China, flowers and birds Size: Width: Approximately 30cm x Height: Approximately 19cm x Depth: Approximately 17cm Purchased at a hotel reception during a visit to China the year after the signing of the Japan-China Treaty of Peace and Friendship. I fell in love with several items during the limited time I had for shopping, and this is one of them. It's a wooden box with incredibly detailed and beautiful carvings on the top and the four sides. After returning home, I carefully stored it in a cardboard box. As it's an item from about 50 years ago, the metal parts, such as the key and hinges, show signs of rust and dullness. Also, the inside and back have a rustic roughness. The key cannot lock the box; it only aligns. Although it has aged, it has no scratches and is a valuable item where you can appreciate the detailed and three-dimensional hand-carving.
