Set of 4 Katakuchi Bowls. "Katakuchi" (one-sided spout) bowls made by "Suenosato," the in-house kiln of the Kaiseki restaurant "Kokonotsuido" in Kamakura and Yokohama, using Karatsu-yaki techniques. Carefully crafted one by one, with a focus on the sourcing of raw clay and glaze materials. In addition to the pale colors and "nyu" (crack patterns) as seen in the images, many works using traditional Karatsu-yaki techniques such as E-Karatsu, Madara-Karatsu, and Chosen-Karatsu are found. They are shaped as "Katakuchi" with a single spout. They are widely used not only as sake vessels but also as small bowls for serving side dishes and simmered dishes.
