This is an antique Imari ware footed plate from the mid-Edo period. The center features auspicious motifs of pine, bamboo, and plum, surrounded by a takokusa (octopus arabesque) design. The reverse side also has a cobalt blue arabesque design, and the base bears the mark "Made during the Chenghua reign of the Ming Dynasty." There is one gold repair on the reverse. It comes in its original wooden box, with a written inscription on the side indicating it was purchased in the 12th year of Bunka (1815). The condition is good. Size: 31.2 cm diameter at the mouth, 19 cm diameter at the base, 5.5 cm height. It will be carefully packed and shipped.
