This is made of Japanese ash (sen no ki), which has a beautiful grain and is highly prized. It's used in crafts, Buddhist statues, and amulets. Many people, including Shigeyuki Shibazaki, have created wooden bears using this wood. Size: Approximately 98 x 96 x 120 mm There are no cracks. I acquired this from a fine wood shop over a decade ago. In recent years, the price of wood has skyrocketed, making it a bit out of my reach. The price includes the original price, Mercari's commission, and shipping (using Rakuraku Mercari Bin, 60-80 size). You can start carving right away when it arrives.
