Overall, it appears black, but upon closer inspection, it has a black-reddish hue. The top button is a covered button, while the second and subsequent buttons appear to be shell buttons, and are hidden. Upon closer inspection, the fabric above the fifth button shows some wear from the button. I've only worn it two or three times, and there are no other stains or blemishes.
