This is a set of a genuine Amami Oshima Akina Bara kimono and a michiyuki coat. Akina Bara is known as a traditional pattern representing Oshima Tsumugi, with a history of over 100 years. The pattern originated in the Akina district of Tatsugo Town. "Bara" means "basket" in the Ryukyu language, and it is based on the "Sanbara," a basket woven from bamboo. It features a deep, hand-dyed black-brown color unique to mud dyeing and intersecting colored crosses. When you get closer, the accent crosses create a tasteful and gorgeous impression. The coat lining has a light purple gradation with a thread-winding pattern.
