Founded in 1935 by volunteers who admired the forty-seven loyal retainers (Ako Roshi) led by Oishi Kuranosuke. Every year on December 14th, the "Gishi-sai" festival is held, recreating the vendetta of the Ako Roshi with the participation of Yamashina ward residents, attracting many visitors. The benefit is well-known for granting wishes, stemming from the Ako Roshi's accomplishment of avenging their lord in the story of Chushingura. Also known as a famous cherry blossom viewing spot, the weeping cherry tree called "Oishi-zakura" is revered as a sacred tree. This offering is a set of two items: a goshuin (temple stamp) and a history booklet (bifold).
