Purchased from a Japanese miscellaneous goods store near Ninenzaka in Kyoto. I bought it as a souvenir because of the cute design, but I rarely used it and have kept it in a display cabinet with a door. The material seems to be sturdy plastic. I have inspected it and found no noticeable damage, but please consider this item only if you are comfortable with minor imperfections.
