This is a discontinued Shadow Hills microphone preamplifier. It's an older model that received high praise in reviews on overseas websites. You can select from three modes: Nickel, Steel (both using transformers), and Discrete (bypassing the transformers), and the sound quality is noticeably different in each. I've used many microphone preamps, including those from other companies, but the thickness of the sound from this one is unmatched. It's far better for recording bass than the BAE I used to have. I liked it so much that I bought two, but I need something with a completely different sound, so I'm selling this one. It works perfectly fine; it's built like a tank. The body is black, so reflections make it difficult to photograph well, but it's generally in good condition with some minor scratches. Thank you.
