This is a Kutani Shoza tea cup that has been stored in a box at my parents' house for many years. Kutani Shoza was a historical figure, a Kutani ware potter who was active from the Edo period to the Meiji period. One of the four tea cups has a small chip on the outside of the bottom, but it doesn't seem to affect its use. Please see photo 5.
