Violin Tailpiece Ebony For 4/4 size This is a new Hill-type tailpiece. This is a spare, new tailpiece that I purchased in multiple quantities for testing. Generally, ebony fitting parts tighten the low frequencies and make the sound project better. Lightweight parts are considered good, but heavy, hard ebony can actually have a clear, positive effect on some instruments. Tailgut is also included. Although new, there may be minor scratches that appear to have occurred during manufacturing. It is a slightly bright ebony with a brownish tint. Since it is unused and unprocessed (for final fitting), drilling may be required depending on the instrument's installation, string type, adjusters, and other conditions.
