I was at the university, having prepared, though not perfectly. I should be fine with the standard questions. All that's left is to take the exam. Okay, let's do the final review. I thought, and opened my bag. ...It wasn't there. My pencil case. I frantically searched around, but all I had was a ballpoint pen. 47 minutes until the exam starts. I rushed to the university store. Pencils, regular mechanical pencils, and Kuru Toga pencils were lined up in the store. For a single exam (my promotion is on the line), a Kuru Toga is too extravagant. I thought, and bought two regular mechanical pencils, an eraser, and lead refills. I grabbed them and headed straight for the exam room. These are my partners for today. I entered the exam room and took the third retake exam with a few other men and women. The regular mechanical pencils kept breaking the lead, but the eraser and lead refills were excellent. After the exam, I told a friend the whole story. "If I was late for the retake exam and then realized I didn't have anything to write with for the third retake, I'd faint," they said.
