A vase by Yuko Irie, purchased at a solo exhibition. *The second image is by a different artist, but I'm including it for reference as the atmosphere and size are similar. While her mugs and plates are also popular, her organic objets d'art and vases are wonderful with their sandy, rough texture and gentle forms. I was told that the inside is glazed, so it's safe for water. I think it would be lovely not only for dried flowers but also for hydrangeas, lotuses, and branches. It has a presence even when displayed as an objet d'art on its own.
