There is no lid. There is a chip on the bottom. Suitable for making pickled plums, pickles, miso, etc. As it is a ceramic item, please understand that there may be scratches and unevenness from the manufacturing process. There are traces of cellophane tape having been removed. I filled it with water to the top and left it for a full day, but there were no leaks at all. Other than the chip, I think it's in good condition overall, but please only consider purchasing if you don't mind any oversights. I think it can also be used as interior decoration.
