The handles are made of suede fabric, but there is some slight fuzziness. The top can be closed with a zipper. There are pockets on both sides inside. One is a large pocket that closes with Velcro, and the other is a pocket divided into two sections. I received this as a gift, but I haven't used it and have kept it in storage.
