This is a Showa-retro Panasonic flash. It's a product called "Panamagic." I replaced the battery and turned it on, and the pilot lamp lit up. It flashed when I set it to DC, so there are no operational issues. It seems to be an older type, as there's a delay of a few seconds before the pilot lamp lights up after the flash. It's large in size and quite heavy. I think it would be attractive to collectors. There's a crack in the battery compartment cover. It's better to gently lift it with a flathead screwdriver than to force it open with your fingers, as this puts less stress on the cover.
