As the sub-theme suggests, “Bringing Meiji, Taisho, and Showa era kimonos into the Heisei era…”, the exhibition aimed to revive the fashion sense of Japanese women of the time for the modern era. Shiko Ikeda herself coordinated the collection, including the “kimono,” obi (sash), and han-eri (collar), presenting them as a complete ensemble.
