Plarail The EF58 is an electric locomotive manufactured after the war for passenger trains. It replaced the express, limited express, and ordinary passenger train operations that steam locomotives and pre-war electric locomotives had been responsible for. This is a late-model locomotive equipped with a steam generator. Unit 157 is a vehicle on display at the SCMaglev and Railway Park in Aichi Prefecture, and was used by JR Central as the towing locomotive for the Torokko Family train and for temporary construction trains. It recreates the formation of the Japanese National Railways era using old-style passenger cars.
