▪️ Kiyozumi Inoue (井上 清純, June 13, 1880 – January 5, 1962) was a Japanese naval officer, politician, and baron. His final rank was captain in the Navy. He was a member of the House of Peers. His registered domicile was Kagoshima Prefecture. Born in Washington, D.C., United States, as the second son of diplomat Kiyoshige Yoshida, he was adopted by Vice Admiral Yoshitomo Inoue. After attending Kogakuin, he graduated from the Naval Academy (29th class) in December 1901 and was commissioned as an ensign in the Navy in January 1903. He completed a special course at the Naval Gunnery School. On July 10, 1925, he was elected as a baron member of the House of Peers[2], belonged to the Koseikai, and served until March 12, 1946. During his tenure as a member of the Diet, he, along with Takeo Kikuchi and Iwakusu Ida, who also belonged to the Koseikai, argued against the Emperor's organ theory.
