This is a cup and saucer from Gefle, a Swedish porcelain manufacturer. Gefle was founded in 1910 and continued production until 1979, even after being acquired by Upsala Ekeby. Due to its rarity, it is now highly sought after. This "VALENCIA" series is a very rare item that is difficult to obtain even in Sweden. Although there is a famous series of the same name by Arabia, this one is striking with its bold colors. The fan-shaped patterns overlapping each other resemble "Seigaiha" (waves of the sea), often seen in kimonos. It also looks like autumn leaves are depicted. ★Gefle VALENCIA ① Cup: 8.0cm diameter, 5.2cm height Saucer: 12.8cm diameter There are no noticeable chips or cracks, and it is in good vintage condition. Please check the photos for details. The saucer is from Gefle's "FORTUNA" series, which is a different series of the same model. Although it is a different series, the form is the same, and the colors are almost identical. Gefle itself often used the same saucers, so it shouldn't be too much of a concern, but the price reflects this.
