Powder fusing involves mixing powder with a binder to create a clay-like consistency and firing it. When you want to partially fill a refractory plaster mold with color, the powder alone may shift during firing, preventing the color from settling in the intended areas. However, mixing it with fusing glue allows you to place the color as desired.
