Buzenbo-yaki, by Kunio Kanda, "Teabowl with Leaf Pattern." This teabowl is made using a very difficult technique of beautifully firing real leaves onto the bottom, creating a leaf pattern. While teabowls with leaf patterns using ceramic leaf decals are common, this teabowl uses real leaves. It is said that only a few people in Japan can beautifully fire real leaves using this technique, making this a rare teabowl. - This teabowl was used for admiring the leaf pattern and is unused. - Inner diameter approximately 11.5 cm, height approximately 8 cm. - Comes with a wooden box and a descriptive card.
