I found it easier to handle than genuine silk Oshima Tsumugi when remaking kimonos myself, and I was hooked for a while, collecting them at antique markets, etc. At the time, they were not readily available, and even if I found them, they were as expensive as silk, or even more so. Because it's woven, you can use it without worrying about the front or back. The fabric is thin and supple, but also firm. There are thread skips, small holes, stains, discoloration, etc. Please use the good parts for your handmade projects.
