Are we, who are rushing through each day, overlooking important things in life, like the sound of these pines? Sekio Fukumoto Born in Kyoto in 1930. Ordained under the guidance of Master So-o at Yotoku-in Temple within Daitoku-ji Temple in 1940. Became a disciple of the former head of the Daitoku-ji school, Master Kankei Seiryo-ken, in 1949, and entered the Tokei Zen Temple in Mino. Appointed as the chief priest of Shoshun-ji Temple of the Daitoku-ji school in 1959. Appointed as the concurrent chief priest of Horyin-ji Temple of the Daitoku-ji school in 1983. Appointed as the chief priest of Horyin-ji Temple in 1990. Relinquished the position of chief priest of Horyin-ji Temple to a successor in 2004. In the same year, was reappointed as the chief priest of Shoshun-ji Temple.
