This is from quite a while ago, a gift from a neighborhood lady who often wears kimono. It cost 58,500 yen back in the Showa era, so I believe it's a good quality item. Due to aging, there are some brown lines in the weave. I'm not sure of the material, but it's thin. I think it might be silk, but it doesn't have the characteristic shimmering luster or sheen of silk.
