(Analog Record) 80's Tokyo City Pop! Though the original pressing was extremely limited, this album, reminiscent of Sugar Babe, contains astonishing content! This miraculous private-press recording has finally been unearthed after 42 years! This work was recorded quietly as a graduation project by childhood friends from Nakano and Nerima. Its authentic City Pop sound, comparable to Sugar Babe and So Nice, caught the attention of a used record store staff member, and in 2022, 42 years after the recording, it was re-released in three formats: CD, analog record, and digital distribution! From the groovy and mellow opening track "I Won't Go to New York," featuring a interplay of guitar, bass, and synthesizer, to the following mid-tempo funk track "One Night Darling," which has moments reminiscent of Tatsuro Yamashita's "Paper Doll." Also, the AOR track "Dim," which echoes the music of Michael Franks, a favorite of the band members at the time, and the samba tune "Tropical Dream," which anticipates Taeko Ohnuki's "European Trilogy," are just a few of the highlights. Every song shines with a miraculous brilliance! For this reissue, the unearthed 8-channel 1/2-inch multi-track tape was converted to high-resolution audio under the production of Fumiwo Miura, the central member of Presents, and released with a master audio track remixed through vintage analog equipment.
