It's an analog modeling distortion pedal of the legendary MESA Boogie MARK II C+. It operates on 9V center negative. If you set it up well, you can aim for a Mark-like sound, but you'll probably need a boost with a TS or similar to reach the gain range everyone thinks of. Combining it with a MESA graphic EQ gets you pretty close, but even with a common graphic EQ, you can get a decent sound if you set it up like a V. As a point of caution, the bass should be set between 0 and around 21:00 to avoid a muddy sound. This is quite similar to the real Mark, which is interesting. Please be careful as the master volume has a very wide range. The exterior was in this condition from the time of import. It didn't come with a manual or box originally, and it was shipped in a battered cardboard box. It's just the item itself, which will be wrapped in cushioning material for shipping. During the operational check, there was no crackling. The crackling in the preamp gain was present from the time of purchase, and I assume it's part of the design. The price may be high, but considering the import costs, labor, and the effort of having it modified by eva electronics, I'd actually like to price it a bit higher, so I hope you understand. eva electronics has modified the input impedance to low impedance. Please note that the sound will degrade if you connect it directly to a guitar. Conversely, if you're using a buffer or some other effects pedal, you can use it without any sound degradation, so it's designed to be used within a system. Please consider purchasing it with the understanding that it is a used item and that it is extremely difficult to dial in the sound.
