A-2 deck jacket from around the 1970s-80s. Made by VANDERBILT SHIRT. Likely a civilian item or supplied to organizations other than the US military. It's a product from a US military supplier, and the construction and parts are exactly the same as those supplied to the US military. There's no cheap feel that's often found in civilian items. The zipper is also the same as those supplied to the military, made by GENERAL with only the G marking. There is slight sun fading on the back and some unraveling in the tag stitching. There are ink marks around the cuffs, which appear to be manufacturing marks. There are no issues with wear. It has been cleaned at a dry cleaner before listing, so it is in a clean condition. You should be able to wear it comfortably from the moment it arrives.
