This is a vintage tribal rug / Persian carpet, hand-woven over 50 years ago in Nahavand, a city in Hamadan Province, western Iran. It has a beautiful contrast of vibrant red and faded purplish-navy. The outer frame of red, navy, and beige features different geometric patterns, making it a pleasure to look at. The center has a bold floral geometric pattern, creating a playful design. Note: There is some distortion in the pattern. If you look at the top part of the second photo and enlarge photos 17 and 18, you can see that the frame lines and patterns are distorted, likely because the last part was woven by a beginner. We hope you can appreciate this as part of the handmade charm. Although it is old, the pile is still fluffy and in good overall condition, and it has been cleaned, so you can use it comfortably right away.
