This is a product imported from overseas. A vintage-style P-90 pickup using Alnico 5 magnets, a soapbar type set for the neck and bridge. This uses two Alnico 5 magnets, following the vintage style. The structure is exactly the same as the current Gibson P-90. Moreover, the build quality here is more careful and the shaping is well-calculated. The current Gibson P-90... frankly, you have to wonder if a large company is allowed to make something like this; it's that cheap. I have a few myself, and the base plate is bent, or the dimensions of the base plate are off, or it's not symmetrical... Even the Historic Collection seems to have these kinds of pickups in them, but I vowed never to buy them again. (I mainly use Gibson P-90s from the 50s to 70s) Getting back on track, instead of the vinyl wire common in cheap pickups, it uses braided shielding wire (the mesh wire) for the lead wire, following the vintage Gibson style, for noise reduction and sound stability. Furthermore, they've thoughtfully changed the pitch between the pole pieces for the neck and bridge. Compared to the same price range Wilkinson or GOTOH PICKUPS, and even cheaper P-90s, which have a cheap feel with extremely thin vinyl wires attached with amateurish soldering, this is on a different level. The resistance is an ideal 6.8k〜7.2k for the neck and approximately 7k〜7.8k for the bridge. Some people seem to reduce the coil winding when it gets close to 9k, as it can become somewhat boomy, so I think you can expect rich mid-range tones and rich overtones. The lead wires are about 220mm long for both the neck and bridge. If the neck side is a little short for you, please adjust the soldering position of the wire retainer on the back. You can extend it by about 2cm. For some reason, the cream color is slightly different between the neck and bridge, probably because of the different sizes, but since I purchased a large quantity as a set (neck & bridge), please understand that this is how it is.
