This is a set of 4 retro Showa-era single-mouth bamboo strainers. These are single-mouth bamboo strainers used for draining water from rice after washing (rice scooping), etc. They are called "souke" here, and are handmade bamboo crafts. I have heard that there are only one or two houses left that make souke, making these rare strainers. They were stored in a vinyl bag in a storehouse, so I think they are in relatively good condition. ■Size Large: 52 x 49 x 18 cm high Small: 38 x 35 x 13 cm high Due to the large size, if a suitable size cardboard box cannot be found, they may be shipped using a different packaging method.
