This camera is a semi-format spring camera manufactured by Takagawa Koki Seisakusho (renamed Masumy Koki Seisaku Co., Ltd. in 1955) in Kamiikegami-cho, Ota-ku, Tokyo, and released by Hinomaruya in 1952. The Semi Masumy III has two versions: Type A (¥9,800), which includes a slow shutter (1, 1/2, 1/5), and Type B (¥8,000), a more affordable version that omits the slow shutter. This item is the high-end Type A. The body has age-related scratches, dirt, and peeling chrome, but the leatherette is relatively well-preserved. The front cover opening mechanism is also smooth. The bellows are generally in good condition. There is some peeling chrome on one of the film guide rollers, but I don't think it will affect the photography. There is a partial chip in the insulating resin of the sync contact, but there is no malfunction. However, the contact is ASA specification (Kodak type), so an adapter is required to use current German-style flashes. The viewfinder is generally clear. The eyepiece of this viewfinder can be removed by turning it, so you can clean the inside of the viewfinder with a cotton swab. The shutter is NKS (B, 1-1/200) made by Nihon Kosoku Koki Seisakusho (later Talon Co., Ltd.) and is operating at all speeds. There are no problems with the aperture or self-timer. The lens is C. TRIVER 1:3.5 75mm, and there is considerable dust-like dirt visible, but I think it is still perfectly capable of taking pictures. However, you shouldn't expect the same image quality as a digital camera from a vintage camera. The case and strap are quite deteriorated. Please consider them as a bonus. As an aside, the front of the case is engraved with the TKS (Takagawa Koki Seisakusho) logo, but the I model is engraved with SEMIMASMY.
