The one on the left is a sake cup made with cherry bark, a traditional craft of Akita Prefecture. Cherry bark craft is a traditional craft of Kakunodate, Senboku City, Akita Prefecture, known as the "Little Kyoto of Michinoku," and is made from the bark of wild cherry trees. Tea canisters are famous, but this one is made by applying the bark to the sake cup. Please understand that there are some areas where the brown color bleeds, as it is made from natural materials. Also, the capacity is small, and it's recommended for those who want to sip slowly with a traditional craft item. The other one is a wooden sake cup. I don't remember where I bought it, but it's very light. It weighs only 20g. Unfortunately, I don't know the type of wood used as the raw material anymore, but you'll be surprised by its lightness. I recommend these sake cups made from natural materials for those who want to enjoy a drink tonight. Capacity: * Cherry bark sake cup: 35ml when filled to the brim, 28ml when filled to 80%. * Wooden sake cup: 60ml when filled to the brim, 48ml when filled to 80%.
