Official name: PARKA, COLD WEATHER, CAMOUFLAGE This is a "Gen1 ECWCS Parka," a top-of-the-line military item featuring waterproof, heat-retaining, and durable breathable waterproof fabric. The hood is equipped with brass rivets, giving it a more substantial feel and a stylish look. This is the first type, also known as the 1st type, TYPE-1, or Generation 1, with slanted front lower pockets. ECWCS (EXTENDED COLD WEATHER CLOTHING SYSTEM) is a layering system for extremely cold climates officially adopted by the US military in the late 1980s. It is also known as the Extended Cold Weather Clothing System. In addition to the parka, the system allows for the combination of synthetic fiber innerwear/liners according to the climate of the activity area, evolving into an innovative clothing system that can adapt to various climates through different combinations. Storage includes flap pockets on the left and right, a utility pocket on the left arm, and inner pockets with Velcro closures on both sides of the zipper. Ventilation zips are provided under the arms, allowing for temperature adjustment while wearing. The raglan sleeve design provides a wide range of motion and is easy to move in, and the elbows of the sleeves are reinforced with double layers. The hood has a brim design and can be adjusted with a drawcord. The cuffs can be adjusted with Velcro, and the front placket has loops with snap button closures for attaching rank insignia.
