This is a US Army M1943 field cap from the late period of World War II. The M1943 is a common name; the official name is CAP, FIELD, COTTON, O.D., WITH VISOR. It is made of OD cotton and has earflaps that fold inside. It's a small size, recommended for women and kids. Size: 6 3/4 (approx. 54cm) Photos 1-5: Taken with cushioning material inside. Photo 13: The wool part inside is reddish (it's inside, so it won't be visible when worn). Photos 14-16: The inside is in good condition considering its age. This is a genuine USED military item.
