This is a dinner plate with a double name, Minton and Collamore. It was commissioned and sold by Davis Collamore, a high-end luxury tableware store in New York at the time, to Minton, a famous British kiln. It features a grayish cobalt blue color with luxurious gold gilding, using Minton's traditional techniques. The backstamp indicates that it was made between 1891 and 1901. After purchasing it at a domestic auction, I have never used it, and have stored it wrapped in tissue paper in its original box. Regarding the condition, upon close inspection with reading glasses for this listing, there are a few areas that appear white, like the porcelain's bare surface. Please check the photos. There are also cutlery marks. Minton obtained a patent for acid gold (gilding etching) in 1863, but the number of artisans with this advanced technique has decreased over the years, making it impossible to reproduce in the same way. I believe the condition is good for an antique item over 120 years old, and I have carefully and honestly described the condition. Perceptions vary from person to person.
