This is a very valuable Joseon Dynasty twelve-sided tray, approximately 250 years old, made from trees from Jeju Island.
It has a weight and a sense of depth compared to those made of chestnut or pine.
I think the clearly visible wood grain is also a characteristic.
My grandmother, who loves Joseon antiques, purchased it for about 200,000 yen at a Joseon antique shop in Kyoto.

This is part of a collection that my grandmother, who loves old tools from Sakata, Mejiro Collection, antiques from around the world, folk crafts, and primitive art, has collected for over 50 years.
It is a very valuable item, and my grandmother displayed it in a display case, but she is reluctantly selling it to someone who appreciates it in order to downsize her life due to a move.

The tabletops of Joseon trays are original, and strictly speaking, all of them have some degree of wobbling, and it can be said that there are no perfect ones. This is also one of the characteristics of Joseon woodwork.
