New, unused item stored at home, a set of 4 sometsuke (blue and white) plates (everything in the images). Since the printing method (inban) was used from the Meiji era onwards, I can't say for sure, but these were made before or during the Meiji era as high-quality, hand-painted items. The designs are hand-painted by artisans, and each one is slightly different in the shades of the cobalt blue and the brushstrokes. The red circled area in the second image has a raised and uneven texture created by the clay, indicating careful craftsmanship. Size: Diameter: Approximately 10.5cm, Height: Approximately 3cm These are old items. Although they are new and unused, they have been stored for a considerable amount of time since they were made. Therefore, there may be some dirt from storage, and unlike today, inspections were less strict back then, so there may be warping, imperfections, and chips on the foot ring or rim (images 6 and 7).
