Antique Japanese hair ornament (kanzashi). It is an old bira kanzashi. The chain has 10 links, with delicate and beautiful craftsmanship featuring an engraved floral pattern, like a peony. It does not react to a magnet and has a solid weight (approx. 27.5g). There are no visible hallmarks, but it is believed to be silver or white copper. The era is thought to be from the Meiji to early Showa period. As an antique item, there is some age-related wear, but it is generally in good condition.
