Around 1955, these are high-end pumps. They are made of embossed genuine leather with a lizard pattern. My grandmother purchased them at a department store in Osaka and kept them carefully. They were apparently quite expensive at the time. These are pointed-toe pumps characterized by stitching towards the toe and a slender ribbon on the instep. I believe they were quite fashionable at the time. There is a mark of a bird and a crown, with "BLUE BIRD TOKYO GINZA" written on it. There is no size marking, but they are approximately 22-22.5 cm. The soles are quite worn. The leather surface is in good condition considering the considerable age.
