I created an adjustable brace for the main tuning slide of a trombone, and I received feedback that a brace that could be attached to the slide end was needed, so I created this. It is designed with the same mechanism as the wide adjustable brace so that it can be used with a single brace for both a narrow-bore tenor and a wide-bore slide. The main shaft screw is 4mm, and the dish part is about 9mm. (The 4mm main shaft is about the same thickness as the brace attached to a trumpet.) It can be extended from a minimum of 57mm to a maximum of about 93mm, but I personally think that about 90mm is practical. Attaching it to the slide end increases the resistance, but it seems to give the sound more energy, resulting in a vibrant sound. The sound tends to be more suitable for pop and jazz music. The reason for using two nuts is to prevent loosening. I think it's better to use two, but I think it can be fixed with one. I have confirmed that it can be attached to Yamaha YSL-651 (narrow bore), CONN 88H (wide bore narrow), and V.Bach 42B (wide bore), so I think it can be attached to most trombone slides. Although it is intended to be attached to the slide end, it may also be possible to attach it to the F-attachment part of an open wrap, depending on the width. So, I think it's also good for those who want to increase the resistance and the "sweet spot" feeling when using the F-attachment. I don't think there will be any problems with use, but because it was made by an amateur, there are differences in soldering and finish. Also, the finish is not like a commercial product, so please be aware of this beforehand. I take and upload photos for each item, so please make your judgment based on those.
