“God of Wisdom, Wisdom, Benevolence, and Courage: History of Sanada Shrine” Sanada Shrine, located on the site of the main castle keep of Ueda Castle, enshrines the successive lords of Ueda Castle: the Sanada clan, the Sengoku clan, and the Matsudaira clan. Originally, it was a shrine to enshrine the ancestors of the Matsudaira family and was called Shohei Shrine. This offering is a set of a goshuin (red seal stamp) and a history booklet in a special file. Popular with students preparing for exams, as it is associated with the "impregnable castle" that twice defeated the Tokugawa army.
