This is a piece by a potter from a kiln in Okayama Prefecture. It was fired in a climbing kiln. I love this artist's work and have collected a lot of it without realizing it. I'm offering items that I've hardly used. It's a small, ball-like shape, and I think the slightly irregular form gives it character. I bought it because I liked the idea of it as a free cup. This artist's work is characterized by its irregular shapes and imperfections, which are part of its charm. As a free cup, it's great for sake, other drinks, and also as a small bowl for appetizers, preserved foods, pickles, and more... I think it's a nice touch. I rarely used it, but I loved it and treasured it.
