This is a cornet made by C.G. Conn, a major American brass instrument manufacturer of the past. It has a luxurious build, including beautiful engraving and a gold-plated bell interior. This cornet was likely made in 1911, making it a 114-year-old instrument. It was manufactured shortly after Conn's factory recovered from a fire, and it's a model based on the previous Perfected Wonder (flagship model), with some minor changes. Air tightness is excellent. It's in miraculous condition for an instrument of this age. The surface plating remains 99%. The gold plating on the inside of the bell is quite thin, with some areas where it has peeled off. The engraved areas have a two-tone finish of mirror and satin, resulting in a very beautiful appearance. There are some repair marks. There are traces of re-soldering on the 2nd valve slide and the stop rod. There are some small dents on the bell bow. There are no issues with playing. We have taken as many photos as possible, so please take a close look. Modern mouthpieces such as Denis Wick and Bach can be used. Please note that it is not a trumpet shank. Although it is over 110 years old, the intonation, tone, etc. are wonderful, and it is an instrument that allows you to feel a warmth different from modern instruments.
