This is likely an old Kyo-shikki (Kyoto lacquerware) confectionary tray. It features a deep, wiped lacquer finish with charming sumi-e style floral and plant motifs. The motif is patrinia (golden lace). It is a beautifully crafted, lightweight, thin tray with a rich tea-like aesthetic. While it shows little signs of use, there are some minor scratches on the edges upon close inspection. Width: 24.5 cm, Height: 2 cm.
