Shino-yaki guinomi (sake cup) by Harukiyo Nonaka. E-Shino, with a mark, fire color, yuzu-hada (citron skin), beautiful condition. By applying a thick layer of feldspar glaze, a unique texture called "yuzu-hada" is created on the surface. Features include "hi-iro" (fire color), where thin parts of the glaze are reddish-brown, and "nyu" (cracks) in the glaze, as seen in the images. It is old, but there is no significant damage and the condition is good. ■Size: W5.5 x D5.5 x H4.8cm Harukiyo Nonaka, born in 1906. In 1932, he studied under Harutai Hayakawa of Seto and received instruction in the Shino-yaki technique. He opened a pottery studio in Midori-ku, Yokohama, and began making pottery. In 1967, he passed his Yokohama studio to his son, Shunpo, and built a kiln in Mino. He held solo exhibitions at the Goto Museum, Mitsukoshi, and others. Chairman of the Toki Wato-kai.
