Given the region's rich lacquerware culture, from the medieval "Goshiki-wan" bowls to modern Wajima-nuri lacquerware, lacquerware items will make up a large portion of the offerings. There are also interesting ceramics, and occasionally I hope to offer some hidden gems from Asia, particularly from the Joseon dynasty. While I have mainly been offering items from the folk art (mingei) tradition, I also intend to include high-quality pieces, such as those with fine maki-e lacquerwork, as "good things are good." In any case, I hope you will feel closer to the rich history of Japanese craftsmanship. I am happy to consider reasonable price reductions. Generally, I offer about a 10% discount on single items.
