This complete collection showcases Ms. Omura Hama's classroom practice system. Her teaching methods are filled with fascinating insights, and this volume is no exception. Traditional assessment in composition instruction involved assigning grades after a piece was completed. However, in the Omura classroom, meticulous pre-assessment through self-evaluation was conducted before writing even began. This aspect alone leaves me endlessly curious about the methods she employed. It's recommended to read this volume in conjunction with Volume 6, "Development of Composition Learning Instruction."
